I wrote that post title, and thought to myself, I think John has written something about that. And he did. It is a page from Keeping First Things First, and it describes how we can change for better or for worse, and we can grow old or we can simply grow.

As I celebrate my 75th birthday today, I hope I continue to grow, and to grow in good ways – patience, kindness, compassion – something the women I was with last night help me do. After the blessing I thanked Sandy for hosting my Birthday Eve party. (kidding) I think some of the newer members of our group were surprised that I am 75. I don’t feel that age. I think we remain young in spirit and attitudes by surrounding ourselves with vibrant, faith-filled people who take joy in life in spite of its always-present challenges. I posted a few photos so you can enjoy a glimpse of our gathering and of Sandy’s wonderful new home.
