I am John’s better half, the mother of our children and their childrens’ nana.
I love design and collecting. I collect for others rather than myself, because I am trying to follow the “one in/one out” . The framed print to the left is a good example. It is one of the items I had for sale in my store. I really liked it, and when we had to close the store because of a state highway project, I brought it home, hung it in the bathroom, and it set the theme for the ground floor powder room. Yes, I did remove whatever had been hanging there before. It is also the Facebook banner for my Etsy store, Just A Second on Main. One of our daughters bought me a framed quote because it reminded her of me. It is a quote from Elsie de Wolfe an actress and interior designer who was alive at the turn of the last century. I hung it beneath the framed print, because it looks like something the lady in the frame would say.

John thinks it fits there and fits me, because I love decorating. John, being the affirming spouse he is, encourages and appreciates what I do, EXCEPT when I write a blog post about decorating or something similar, and it’s on his website. And so now the blog will be mine, and you can reference it on the side bar of the website by topic or date. The journal will be his, and I have to warn you, he is always writing, but he doesn’t add to his journal. I’m working on that, but in the meantime, it’s his, hers, and ours – that works.
